This imposing porcelain dragon, a limited edition of 777 pieces in honor of Lladró's seventieth anniversary, is the latest addition to the Origami collection. The most majestic creature in ancient Eastern culture is a universal symbol of power, fortune, and good luck. Its decoration uses natural mineral pigments, coated with a thin layer of metallic oxide to intensify the predominant red color. This hue is enhanced by the contrasting gold details that complete the piece's finish. Like the rest of the pieces in the Origami collection, it represents a contemporary and innovative vision of the traditional Japanese art of origami, in which the geometric shapes created by folding paper are transformed into facets of great sculptural and decorative power.
